Refund Policy
Last Updated: June 2026
AppBanana offers a full refund. If your app is rejected by Google Play after we have successfully fulfilled our closed testing service, you get a full refund — provided the claim process below is followed.
Refund Policy Requirements
- App must be a native Android app (non-TWA, non-PWA).
- Forward the official rejection email from Google (must be for production access) to refunds@appbanana.io.
- Request must be submitted within 7 days of the rejection email.
We recruit real human testers who join your Google Play closed testing track. The service is considered delivered once testers are active on your track for the required duration. Because we do manual setup and onboarding via WhatsApp and process payments securely via Razorpay, we ensure every case gets personalized support.
When You Are Eligible for a Refund
You are fully eligible for a 100% refund of your purchase under the following circumstances:
- Google Rejection: Google Play rejected your application for production access after we successfully fulfilled the complete 12 tester / 14-day active testing requirement from our end. Note that the application must be a standard native/hybrid app and cannot be a Trusted Web Activity (TWA) or Progressive Web App (PWA).
- Onboarding Delay: AppBanana failed to onboard any testers to your app within 24 hours of receiving a valid invite link.
- Fewer Testers: AppBanana onboarded fewer testers than agreed upon and could not remedy the deficit within the service window.
- Process Followed: You followed the step-by-step claim process correctly, including applying for production access only after the full 14 days and using the test report we provided.
When You Are Not Eligible for a Refund
The refund is not available in the following situations, as they are outside our control or deviate from the required process:
- Premature Application: You applied for Google Play production access before the 14-day testing period was fully completed.
- Test Report Not Used: You applied without using the test report AppBanana provided, so the test we ran could not be reflected in your application.
- Setup Issues: Your closed testing track was incorrectly configured in the Google Play Console and you did not follow our setup instructions.
- Policy Violations: Your app was removed or suspended by Google Play for policy violations unrelated to the testing requirement (e.g. copyright issues, malware, deceptive behavior).
- Change of Mind: You decided to cancel or change your mind after the testers were already onboarded and active on your track.
- Developer Delays: Delays caused by you not sending the tester group invite link promptly after payment.
- Policy Breaches: Your app violates AppBanana's Acceptable Use Policy.
- Late Claims: The refund claim was raised more than 7 days after Google issued the rejection notice.
- TWA or PWA Apps: Your app is a Trusted Web Activity (TWA) or Progressive Web App (PWA), which are excluded from the refund policy.
How to Claim Your Refund (Step-by-Step)
Our support team is available 24/7 on WhatsApp to guide you through the process. You are not navigating this alone!
Contact WhatsApp Support
Send a message to our support chat informing them that Google Play rejected your application for production access.
Forward Google Rejection Email
Forward the original, unaltered rejection email you received from Google Play (which must be a rejection for production access) directly to refunds@appbanana.io within 7 days of receiving the notice. Claims submitted without the original email or past the 7-day window cannot be processed.
Verify App Requirements
Confirm that your application is a standard native or hybrid app. Trusted Web Activities (TWA) or Progressive Web Apps (PWA) are not eligible for a refund.
Claim Review (48 Hours)
Our support team will review your testing track activity, questionnaire responses, app architecture, and rejection dates within 48 hours to confirm eligibility.
Refund Processing (5-7 Days)
Approved refunds are processed back to your original payment method via Razorpay within 5 to 7 business days.
Important Note: Our refund commitment applies only when the AppBanana process is followed end-to-end — from initial setup instructions, to applying with the test report we provide, to the claim steps above. Deviating from the process at any step voids it. Google alone decides whether your app receives production access; we do not and cannot influence that decision.
